Australian police said on Tuesday that the two gunmen who carried out the Bondi Beach attack in Sydney on Sunday had traveled to the Philippines before the attack that killed 15 people. The attack was carried out by a man (50 years old) and his son (24 years old). Police have also identified the attacker as Sajid Akram, whom they shot dead. His son, Nafid, is in critical condition in hospital after also being shot. The attack is considered the worst mass shooting in Australia in about 30 years. The investigation is being treated as a terrorist act targeting the Jewish community. The attackers apparently drew inspiration from the ideology of the terrorist organization ISIS.
