Australian police announced on Thursday that they had arrested seven people in southwest Sydney following a report about a possible plot.
According to law enforcement officials, the operation was conducted in response to the received information. The detainees were taken to the police station for further investigation.
"We acted on specific intelligence to prevent potential threats," said an official spokesperson.
