Police intercepted the two vehicles as they were traveling through Liverpool, one of the southwestern suburbs of Sydney. Police said, "As the investigation continues, seven men are assisting with inquiries." A man and his 24-year-old son, who died in the attack, are accused of killing 15 people and injuring dozens in an attack on Bondi Beach in Sydney. New South Wales police stated in a statement that "no link has yet been established between the incident and the ongoing investigation into the Bondi Beach terror attack" which killed 15 people who had gathered on the beach to celebrate.
