Argentina's Rugby Team Faces Tough Challenge in Perth

The Argentine rugby team, Los Pumas 7s, had an excellent first half in their participation in the third chapter of the World Circuit in Perth, Australia. The team started strong and managed to lead 26-5 in their first matchup, overcoming Australia 31-26. However, in the second match, they were outplayed by the United States in extra time, losing 24-19.

The starting lineup for Los Pumas 7s consisted of Grazziano, Santiago Álvarez, Matías Osadczuk, Pellandini, Santiago Mare (captain), Luciano González, and Marcos Moneta. Despite a solid performance, Argentina could not maintain their level in the second half, which allowed the Americans to equalize and ultimately seal the match in overtime.

With these results, Los Pumas 7s will face South Africa in their last group stage match. The team led by Santiago Gómez needs a victory to keep their chances of advancing in the competition alive and continue aspiring for the title. Currently, Argentina is in fifth place in the World Circuit, with 28 points.

In a context where Fiji leads the table with 36 points, followed by Spain with 32, France and South Africa with 30, and New Zealand with 24, Los Pumas 7s are looking to secure their qualification in the tournament.
