The replacement of Checo Pérez at Red Bull admitted that it was a silly mistake and that he knew they weren't achieving their best lap, which was very frustrating. Liam Lawson's poor performance with Red Bull has been evident, especially during the bad qualifying for the Australian GP.

During the Australian GP, McLaren drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri secured the top two spots on the grid, with Pole Position for Norris. Max Verstappen finished in third place, followed by other renowned drivers.

As for Liam Lawson, he came close to being ridiculous by being eliminated in Qualy 1 and positioning himself in 18th place on the grid for the Albert Park Circuit. This performance was below expectations, even compared to Checo Pérez's previous races at Red Bull.

Lawson acknowledged that he had trouble keeping control of the car, which led him to make mistakes and be out in Q1. In the practice sessions leading up to the Australian GP, he was also affected by issues with the car and its power, which relegated him to the last position.
