Red Bull Faces Challenges Ahead of Australian GP

The Red Bull team has faced difficulties during the practice sessions of the Australian Grand Prix, the first race of the 2025 Formula 1 season. Driver Liam Lawson, who replaced Sergio Pérez, had problems with the RB21 car and fell behind in the positions during the free sessions. This generated mixed opinions among fans, with some questioning the decision to replace 'Checo' Pérez.

After finishing in positions 16 and 17 in the two free sessions, Lawson has been the subject of ridicule on social media, being nicknamed 'Slowson' as a play on words between 'slow' in English and his last name. Meanwhile, Pérez's absence from Red Bull since December 2024 has led to speculation about his possible return or his incorporation into another team.

Despite the criticisms received, Red Bull Racing director Christian Horner came to Liam Lawson's defense, arguing that the New Zealand rookie lacks prior experience at the Albert Park Circuit in Melbourne. Horner emphasized that Lawson is adapting and showing good feelings, although he acknowledged that some technical aspects will need to be worked on to improve his performance in the upcoming races.
