Grand Prix of Australia 2025 Kicks Off F1 Season

Formula 1 returns with the Australian Grand Prix 2025, and on Friday, March 14, the qualifying session will take place. This event marks the start of the season, which unfortunately will not include the participation of driver 'Checo' Pérez. The Albert Park circuit in Melbourne will be the stage for this year's changes, including the driver lineup, the new race order, and the celebration of F1's 75th anniversary.

The first weekend of Formula 1 promises excitement for fans, so it’s a good time to prepare drinks and snacks. Qualifying is essential to determine the starting order of the drivers in the Sunday race and will be crucial for each team's aspirations at the start of the season.

In addition to the qualifying session at Albert Park, the third free practice sessions for the Australian Grand Prix will also take place. Qualifying at this circuit is particularly significant due to the limited overtaking opportunities during the race and the unpredictable weather conditions that can add excitement to the session.

In the first free practice session, British driver Lando Norris from McLaren set the fastest lap, followed by Carlos Sainz from Williams and Charles Leclerc from Ferrari. Attention focused on Lewis Hamilton, seven-time world champion, who debuted with Ferrari and placed twelfth in this initial practice.

The 2025 season presents new challenges and changes that heighten fan expectations. The constructors' championship is at stake with McLaren as the current leader. The Australian Grand Prix is just the start of an extensive calendar that includes races in several countries leading up to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in December.
