A warning about the hurricane was sent to residents of northern Tasmania. According to Australia's Bureau of Meteorology, the storm brings with it powerful winds and heavy rainfall. In connection with this, coastal areas are preparing for possible negative consequences.
"We decided to change the name of the hurricane since its previous designation coincided with the name of the Prime Minister," said a representative of the Australian meteorological service.
