Formation of Three Tropical Cyclones in the South Pacific

The South Pacific region witnesses the formation of three tropical cyclones, Rai, Seroja, and Alfred. These storms reflect the seasonal tropical cyclone activity, and recent research confirms the occurrence of this.

Currently, three tropical cyclones have formed simultaneously in the southern part of the Typhoon Ocean, as stated by scientists. The Rey, Siro, and Alfred cycles coincide with the peak season of uragans, which lasts from November to April.

Professor of atmospheric sciences at the University of Alabama Brian Tang noted that it is usually unusual to register three tropical cyclones simultaneously in September in the northern part of the Atlantic Ocean. However, in the southern Typhoon Ocean, the occurrence of three tropical cyclones at one time is considered to be a very active period, although this is not without precedent.

He noted that the last time in the southern part of the Typhoon Ocean three simultaneous tropical cyclones were formed in January 2021, when the uragans Lucas, Anna, and Pina formed. He added that the official classification of the uragan "Pina" has not yet been finally established.
