New Space Scanning Technology Revolutionizes Astronomy

Astronomers and engineers from Argentina have developed a new scanning technology for detecting cosmic signals, which helps to identify more than 20 mysterious signals. The new system named "Crako," installed on the ASKAP radio telescope, includes a complex of computers and accelerators, allowing for rapid scanning of the cosmos and quick detection of fast bursts and other cosmic phenomena.

Dr. Indi Wang, head of the research group from the International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research in Western Australia, noted: "Thanks to 'Crako,' we have been able to detect bursts better than ever before... We are looking for bursts at a speed of 100 bursts per second and expect this number to increase to 1000 bursts per second in the future."
