Formula 1 driver Franco Colapinto caused concern due to an image in which he was visibly affected in one of his eyes, although he quickly clarified the situation to bring peace of mind. It all began after the second free practice sessions, in which the Argentine Alpine driver finished in 18th place, when a video was leaked that was accessed by the Argentine News Agency. In it, Colapinto appears alongside a member of the Alpine team and is seen with clear discomfort in his right eye, which caused great concern. However, the Argentine quickly clarified that it was not a serious problem: 'They threw dry ice at me and it burned a part of my eye a bit, but I'm already better. I have anesthesia, but now with some creams and drops I think I'm going to feel better. Dry ice doesn't melt, it's all chemical and it burns.'
