In this way, the player from Platense advanced to the third round, where he will have anything but an easy time against Bublik, who a few weeks ago won the title at the ATP 250 in Hong Kong and entered the top 10 of the ATP rankings for the first time in his career. The Kazakh, who is one of the candidates to reach the final stages of this Australian Open, is showing a great level, as in the previous rounds he won his matches without dropping sets. Etcheverry was not the only Argentine to make it to the third round of the Australian Open. Earlier on Tuesday night, Francisco Cerúndolo (18th) also achieved this by defeating Bosnian Damir Dzumhur in a very solid performance.
